About THE GRLFRND DEN
I have been a licensed Costmetologist for 27 years. I studied at Golden West College, in Huntington Beach, CA. I have spent the last 27 years practicing as a hair stylist. I owned my first salon in 2005, and I have worked with color companies teaching the chemistry of color and color techniques. I have attended and competed at hair shows featuring my ideas and techniques.
I have traveled to different hair salons teaching my color techniques and ideas to fellow hair stylists and students. When I sold my salon in 2010, I worked in a couple of different salons learning new techniques along the way. I wasnt completely satisfied with the way the salons were being operated, so I decided to expand my lash and hair business by creating The GRLFRND Den from the ground up.
In mid year 2017 I had to retire from doing hair on my clients. So I hired a staff of very talented hair stylists that have more than enough experience to take on what I started so long ago.
In 2012, I trained to become a Lash Extension Stylist. As a hair stylist, I saw many of my clients coming in with lash extensions on, and to be honest, I didnt think they looked all that great! Ive had lash extensions on for several years and I didnt always feel comfortable with the job that was being done on me. After going to several different lash salons, I decided to learn for myself. My thoughts were, I can do a better job and they will look better too! So I took a training class.
