About Leandra Blades
Leandra Blades was first elected as a member of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education in 2020.
Leandra attended both Rio Hondo College in Whittier and Long Beach City College. Her professional experience includes serving Los Angeles County communities as a Police Officer for 13 years. During this time, she was co-captain for her department’s “Baker to Vegas” relay team for three years before retiring as a Corporal/Field Training Officer in 2012.
Leandra is married to her husband Dave and has lived in the Yorba Linda community for over eight years. She has three sons–Wyatt, Carson, and Travis–all of whom currently attend or attended Fairmont Elementary School, Bernardo Yorba Middle School, and Esperanza/Yorba Linda High School.
During her children’s time at Fairmont, Leandra took on various roles such as room mom, classroom and library helper, and head of the school’s 6th-grade pancake breakfast in 2018.
In the community, Leandra has also served as a manager, coach, and Board Member for the East Yorba Linda Little League as well as a coach for JUSA and Placentia Pony Baseball. She is also involved at Friends Christian Church in Yorba Linda.
